Since an opening-week loss to Upper St. Clair, the Wolverines have reeled off three consecutive victories led in large part by quarterback Cody McClelland, who has come into his own this season with more than 700 yards and 10 touchdowns, numbers that put him among the top passers in the WPIAL. Perhaps the best question will be whether McClelland wins the quarterback battle, or will it go to Mt. Lebanon senior Tyler Roth, who is closing in on 800 yards and has 10 scores of his own. Roth has an outstanding target in Troy Apke, who is among the leaders in receptions, yards and receiving touchdowns. Mt. Lebanon has also turned it around since losing to North Allegheny in the season opener.
