Prestigious Honor Recognizes College Athletes for Good Works, Selfless Acts.

Pitt senior linebacker Mike Caprara has been named to the Allstate American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Good Works Team, one of the most prestigious off-the-field honors in college football.

Established in 1992, the Good Works Team recognizes college football players who dedicate their time to bettering the community and the lives of others. Caprara is one of 24 student-athletes nationwide named to this year’s team.

On the field, Caprara (Turtle Creek, Pa./Woodland Hills) ranks among Pitt’s most productive defensive players and helped the Panthers defeat Penn State this past weekend with a pair of fumble recoveries. Off the field, he is one of Pitt’s most passionate student-athletes when it comes to volunteerism and helping those in need.
