The Wolverines came back from multiple deficits to avoid a week 2 upset against Bethel Park. The Black Hawks scored on a fumble recovery to take a 31-27 lead with 90 seconds left, but Art Tompkins returned the ensuing kickoff 75 yards for the winning score. It was Tompkins’ second touchdown of the night.
