September 9, 2020

Woodland Hills rolls to a 54-12 victory. George Novak wins 300th career game. Woodland Hills took an early 14-0 lead on an 18 yard run by Ja'Juan Hill followed by a 52 yard run by Saeed Holt on 4th and 1. Fox Chapel got on the board with a short touchdown run set up by a tip pass caught by a Fox Chapel receiver at the one yard line. The extra point was blocked to keep the score at 14-6.

The Wolverines took control of the game with 21 unanswered points with a leaping grab in the end zone by Avram Abramovitz on a pass by Michael Whiteherse; a touchdown run by Jayquan Smith setup set up by a fumble recovery by Damion R. Thomas; and a fumble return for a touch down by Naszhir Taylor.

The Foxes cut the lead to 35-12 with a 49 yard touchdown pass from Dimitri Spina to Conner Romango.

Derrick Caraway returned the ensuing kickoff to the 5 yard line and Saeed Holt ran it into the end zone two plays later to make it 42-12.

Holt and Abramovitz put the Wolverines on the board again on the second play from scrimmage in the second half. Holt stripped the ball from Spina and Abramovitz scooped it up and had clear sailing for the end zone.

Smith later ran for his second touchdown of the game to close out the scoring at 54-12.

The win was the 300th career win for Woodland Hills head coach George Novak. He is only the 3rd WPIAL coach and 14th in the state of Pennsylvania to reach that milestone.
